                                                         Our Goal
The goal of Life Skills is to provide tools and teach skills that a person should have learned in a balanced, healthy home, between birth and age 18. The ultimate goal is to help each individual to grow through building and deepening their character, and by learning leadership skills, no matter the season of life. Our courses serve a cross-section of society, regardless of race, sex, or socioeconomic background. All individuals can benefit from the “Learning to Live, Learning to Love” curriculum.


Why Life Skills?

Life Skills teaches the skills that a person would have learned had they grown up in a balanced, healthy home with two perfect parents. Of course, no one is perfect, so some things get missed. It's like a self-parenting class which develops skills that will enable each individual to rebuild their life, improve their self-image, improve relationships and where applicable, to even offer hope of reconciliation and restoration.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to reach out to hurting who have tried everything else and failed. We want to help individuals break free from addictions and negative behavior that cause strained, broken, or abusive relationships. We seek to turn negative patterns around and to teach skills to promote growth and character development. We teach individuals the reasons for behaviors without placing guilt or blame, showing each individual dignity and respect as they go through the healing process.

Here are just a few of Life's issues Life Skills classes will help you overcome:
  • Anger, emotions and expectations
  • Abuse Issues: Rejection, incest, sexual, physical and emotional abuse
  • Conflict Resolution, emotional bonding and steps to building healthy relationships
  • Communications Problems, team building, leadership, and integrity
  • Self Esteem Issues: habits, addictions, stress reduction, goal setting and self-awareness
Life Skills is a place where adult (Men's/Women's) and TEENs attend gender separate classes to be taught valuable life skills from the "Learning to Live, Learning to Love" curriculum. Whether you are in an abusive relationship, experiencing marriage problems, trying to break patterns of the past, a troubled teen, or you just want to be a better person, family member, employee, or business manager by growing your character, Life Skills can help!

                                     Life Skills IS NOT another 12 step program! 
It is BRAIN SCIENCE  that "re-wires" our brain, with over a 30 year track record with 10's of thousands of lives changed. (See the video(s) in the left column)

We humans are driven by two primary emotions: FEAR & LOVE 
...so discovering our fears will reveal the lies we believe
...and all of our behavior come from our beliefs (not what we say, but what we actually do)
...so if lies we believe die, and is replaced with truth, then our behaviors change!
When we know the truth, and the truth sets us free! 

If changing ourselves was as simple as trying harder, then we would all be "normal"!  STOP TRYING HARDER!  Re-wiring our brain changes us and our behaviors!
